I was checking out the baby section of Macy’s yesterday and I saw these adorable baby tennis shoes I wanted to get. The blue pair was marked $2.49 and the pink pair was marked $8.49. I thought maybe the pink pair would ring the same as the blue so I took them to cashier to purchase them. She rings them up and they come up for one cent. Yes, you read that right, one cent! I asked her if that was really the price and she said that she was new, but said, “sure.” So I gave her a nickel and she gave me three cents back. Then I go to buy the remaining ones and a different cashier wouldn’t sell them to me. BUMMER. She said that when things come up for a penny, it’s their system telling them to throw them out. I think it’s unfair to the customer…because once you see a penny, you want them for a penny! The system should ring them up for $100,000, then there would be no argument. Needless to say I was very happy about my purchase. If any of you are willing head over to your local Macy’s and see if you can find the shoes, maybe they’ll let you get them for a penny…just try to find a new cashier! (They come boxed and the brand is “First Impressions.”)
The other night David ordered Papa John’s pizza and it took like an hour and a half to get here. When it arrived the driver apologized but he had forgotten one of the two pizzas we ordered. The driver then left to go get the other pizza. I was starving by this time and not happy and to top it off, there were none of the fun dipping sauces that Papa John’s is known for in the box…ZERO. I very nicely called the manager and told him the situation and he said there would be no charge. So the two large pizzas only cost us the $5 tip I MADE David give the driver.
I went to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy the other day and normally on the $1,400 prescription my co-pay for 30 syringes is $80. $80 is still a lot, but considering the amount had I not had insurance, seems like a deal…right? Well, I go to pick it up and they said that they didn’t have enough syringes to fill my prescription and gave me a partial prescription of 6 and told me to come back for the rest, they charged me $30 and said I would pay the other $50 when the rest arrived. Well, I go a few days later to get the rest and the Pharmacist tells me there’s no charge. I told him that I wanted to be honest and that I was only charged $30 previously and he said my insurance decided there would be no charge for the remaining syringes. SWEET!!!
Question: What’s better than free pizza and one cent tennis shoes?
Answer: Free blood thinner!

See how richly you're rewarded for doing the right things? You must be very very good. I will try to get to Macy's and see if they have one cent shoes there- hey, maybe they'll have them in my baby's size, too! (What size do you want? Smallest? Next size up?)Here's to more AWESOME bargains.
I love it. You are being blessed - and for good reason. There are two precious babies in your womb. Enjoy the blessings. We love ya.
