PAY IT FORWARD

Hello my Peeps! I won Jocelyn’s Pay It Forward Challenge and now I must do the same. Soooooooo, if you would love to win an “Amanda’s Favorite Things” package delivered to your home, packed filled with the things I love and hope you love too, then read the rules of the contest and leave a comment. I will have my baby, Blossom, randomly choose the winners. If you win, then you “Pay It Forward” on your Blog! So simple. So fun. So get to commenting!

Here are the rules that I will be following: (Thanks Jocey!)

1. I promise to send the winning comment makers a special “Amanda’s Favorite Things” package (Thanks Mandee for the idea), sometime before the end of November.

2. Comment makers must have a Blog and be willing to PAY IT FORWARD if they win. Comments must be a little interesting to read. Give me a little something funny, something new that I may not know about you, I'm talking quality information. Maybe why you would like to “Pay It Forward,” or how you feel about the challenge all together. I know there are people looking at my Blog that I don't know, please make yourselves known. I would love to get to know you, or see your Blog too. An introduction would be FANTASTIC.

3. Blossom will choosewinners randomly, based on a one entry per person rule. If you have already won a Pay It Forward challenge and would like to participate, please do, I will have Blossom continue choosing until we have 3 new winners and however many of you previous winners. (The previous winners will not be bound by the rules to do another Pay It Forward challenge on their Blog, just simply enjoy the gifts!)

4. All comments left before Monday, October 15, 2007 at 12:01am will be counted and I will announce the winners sometime that week.
5. There will be a special "Door Prize" sent to the first person to make a comment.

Good luck and Happy Commenting!

Hey Amanda! What a cute idea! Hmmmm, now what to say... Well, I will try to give you a few facts you may not know about me.
1. I sometimes read books that are way over my head because I enjoy the challenge and being able to brag, "I just finished 'War and Peace.' What are you reading?" This summer I read Tolkien's the Silmarilian AND I am studying the Old Testament. Yeah, I am weird.
2. I just sold out and became a minivan mama! (see my latest blog entry)
3. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep thinking of all the ways my children could get hurt and all the ways I fall short as a mother.
4. Other times, I laugh so hard I cry when Kyle says something funny with his mischievious gap-toothed smile and mop of unruly hair. Sometimes I almost squeeze the life out of Kimball because he is the chubbiest, most delectable thing I've ever seen.
5. Sometimes I really can't stand my husband and all his quirks, but then I see him wrestling with the boys on the floor, telling bedtime stories, or playing monster trucks, Guitar hero, or candyland for the millionth time- and then I realize the importance of overlooking your spouse's weaknesses, in the hopes that he will do the same. When I do that, I'm happy.

Howdy Amanda and David! I honestly don't want to be included because I have somehow managed to win 3 PIF (I'm so lucky!!). I really want others to enjoy the thrill of getting things in the mail other than junk mail and bills. Have fun picking out some of your favs. I am sure it will be cute!!

I love your blog Amanda. It is so fun to hear about your life since you live so far away. I also love PIF's, so that's why I'm commenting. If I win , I promise to abide by the RULES.

I have been trying to think of some new, mostly unknown things about me:

1. I love flannel sheets in the winter. (I tried them last winter for the first time.)

2. I like listening to guitar music where you can hear the finger slides.

3. I am trying to learn some Spanish.

4. I love poetry.

I would like to do something a little different than everyone else (surprise!) I would like to list the top three cherished moments in my relationship with Amanda...

1. Amanda taught me the hours-of-fun game, ZIP BONG. I have burned into my memory the faces that Amanda makes while palying ZIP BONG. For those of you that have not experienced these priceless moments, may I suggest you ask Amanda to teach you also! I have since taught my husband and kids... it is a classic!!

2. Amanda was the beginning of my few year addiction to gell-roll pens. I just couldn't use anything else! So imagine my horror upon arriving in Germany as a missionary and not being able to find gelly-rolls anywhere!!! I wrote Amanda a begging letter to send me some (I knew she would understand the need) and they arrived shortly thereafter! Oh, and I must mention the wonderful boxes filled with Bath and Body Works... Sweet Pea still reminds me of Munich!!

3. Amanda explained to me her take on the scriptures where Christ feeds the 5000. "See Annie," she explained, "Christ always has enough for everyone, He never runs out." This tender memory comes to my mind every time I read this story in the scriptures.
You are a true friend Amanda- thanks for finding me again!! I love you!!

Amanda, I don't know if this is legal, but if you want to have a good laugh at my expense and perhaps learn something new about me, go here: http://notjustapowder.blogspot.com/2007/07/culinary-evolution.html

If that is not legal, consider this story:

I had an emergency appendectomy when I was 17, and after the surgery I was in my recovery room and FREEZING cold, but due to the insanely thick anesthesia fog, I couldn't get to the nurse call button. All I could manage to do was yell, "Help! HEEEELLLLLP!" Then I would succumb to the anesthesia's magic sleep-inducing powers before the nurse got there. This went on ALL NIGHT LONG. I eventually got my blanket, but I think a bit of my dignity is still in that hospital room.

I want to play! Ok here is some stuff about me.

1. I love to cook and bake for people. I like to see their happy faces after they have eaten way more then they should.

2. I love to collect hobbies here is a list of my current hobbies: photography, 3D art, card making, jewelry making, graphic designing and baking everything but cakes/pies.

3. I really like to give gifts to people. This is why I love christmas so much. I have a hard time waiting to give the gift. I usually give it early or spill the beans cause I get to excited. Oh and I really really love to wrap gifts. I like to go all out and make the wrapping look awesome.

4. I love to make people feel happy even if its just for a short while. It makes me happy.
