Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple
I went to the Albuquerque Temple last tonight. I love the temple. There's a song we sang in primary as children that goes:
I love to see the temple.
I’m going there someday
To feel the Holy Spirit,To listen and to pray.
For the temple is a house of God,
A place of love and beauty.
I’ll prepare myself while I am young;
This is my sacred duty.
I love to see the temple.
I’ll go inside someday.
I’ll covenant with my Father;
I’ll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place
Where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I’ve learned this truth:
A family is forever.
For my friends and family that are not LDS and reading this, I think those lyrics sum it up so beautifully. The Temple is a place to set aside the things of this world and focus on the blessings of the next...like having an eternal family. It's a place of peace and quiet, a place to reflect and to pray and to feel the spirit. I know the greatest blessing in my life took place nearly 4 years ago in the Las Vegas, Nevada Temple when David and I were sealed together forever. I remember that day so vividly and I know that every blessing in my life since is a direct result of the covenants we made to each other and to God that beautiful day in May!

Here's what LDS.org says about Temples:
Temples are literally houses of the Lord. They are holy places of worship where individuals make sacred covenants with God. Because making covenants with God is such a solemn responsibility, individuals cannot enter the temple to receive their endowments or be sealed in marriage for eternity until they have fully prepared themselves and been members of the Church for at least a year. Throughout history, the Lord has commanded His people to build temples. The Church is working to build temples all over the world to make temple blessings more available for a greater number of Heavenly Father's children.
This is my favorite picture from our wedding day.

Still wish we could've been there, but I think had just had Kacy or was about to have her. She was the 18th, was your wedding the 23rd? Can't remember. Saw your sisters this weekend- had a good time. Great food. Maybe we will be able to see you for Christmas. Or something...
