Who They Are Now

Everyone promised that once the twins turned 4, life would become so much easier....and boy, were they right! Our life is still full of chaos but it so much more manageable! With two 4-year-olds who listen (most of the time) and a potty trained 2-year-old---life is wonderful!!!

Brinkley Jada--4 Years

I used to feel like being her mom was so hard, now I feel like it's such a privilege! She is an absolute delight!!!! She has her meltdowns and we have our issues, but for a majority of each day we are laughing and smiling! She loves writing her letters and drawing. She loves dressing up and putting on make-up (wink, wink), she loves dancing and singing, and has nearly mastered doing a cartwheel! She needs tons of hugs and kisses before she'll go to bed. She loves school and at church she volunteers to give a talk any chance she gets. She let's me braid her hair everyday with few complaints. She loves oatmeal and digging in the dirt! I see myself in her all the time and couldn't be more proud that, that feisty, spunky, freckley, blue-eyed, cutie is mine!

Braxton Reese--4 years

(Brax took this pic himself)

Oh, Brax! He's so funny--I seriously laugh every day at something funny he says! He's got the biggest smile and silly laugh, his giggles make me giggle. He loves doing funny voices and telling far-fetched stories. He loves TV! He loves teasing Brady and taking things that other people have. He just gets so excited and wants it too--we're working on that! At school he's the leader of the pack of rowdy boys--we're working on that! At church he listens the least of all his class members--we're working on that! He used to never take naps, but will usually take one for me, he lays in bed talking to himself until he runs out of things to say! He loves to count and build things. He's rough and tumble and all mine!

Brady Cameron--2 years, 6 months

He's potty trained! He's potty trained! And it was so easy! He's our little genius baby, he loves to count and read books. When the twins are at school and it's just he and I--that's when his personality comes out the most. He's so sweet. He loves cars and trucks and playing basketball and baseball. He'll "shoot hoops" forever if allowed. He has to have treasures in his bed with him. He wakes me up every morning to announce he needs to go pee pee. He can do it by himself, but I guess it's more fun to wake me up! He's a very good communicator and I get compliments every Sunday from the nursery leaders and what a good boy he is. His sweet smile and big blue eyes are intoxicating--to meet him is to love him. His soft skin still has that squishy-baby-feel to it and I LOVE HIS CUDDLES. He loves candy and apple juice and his mama--probably in that order, but I'll take it!

Four year olds are so much better than three year olds in the "easier" department! I have been enjoying Jessie so much more the last few months... I had moments when she was three that I thought about renting her out. Now she's my buddy! (The others were all similar!) I love how Braxton is "working on that"...Not sure if that ever goes away for some boys! Maybe we will be able to see you on your next trip over!
