So 3 months ago we were asked if our family would participate in our church Christmas program. Of course I said, "yes." Fast forward to December: I'm a full-time mom who works outside of my home 40 hours a week running a store and now it's 1 week before Christmas--our busiest time of year! Awwwww! Between family, work, Christmas shopping, mailing out Christmas cards and baking, I'm surprised I'm still coherent---and I still have to have something prepared for the ward Christmas party, yikes!
They wanted us to share a family Christmas tradition or memory. Since David proposed on Christmas Eve I thought it would be fun if the kids reenacted it---ummmm practicing for that didn't go well. I realized that with three kids 3 and under, you really just need to wing it! Sooooo we did our own version of "Kids Say The Darndest Things"--remember that show? And we interviewed the kids about all things Christmas. We hardly practiced at all and just got up there and went for it! It was hysterical and our kids are hilarious and loved being on stage and loved taking on the microphone! Now, to be honest, we know they have some funny opinions on things and we made sure to ask the right kid certain questions. A few highlights included: All the kids taking a chance to breathe into the mic very loudly and giggle at themselves. Lots of laughs cane when Braxton said Santa comes into your house through a hole and when asked how the hole gets there, he stated that you need a knife and a ladder. Braxton also cracked us up when he said there where elephants in the manger with Jesus. Brady made us laugh when he finished the sentence, "Santa loves you like a..." and he sang, "love song, BABY!!" And when we asked what his favorite thing about Christmas was, he totally mumbled something crazy and I said back to him, "buddy we have no idea what you just said." Apparently that was really funny. Brinkley got lots of laughs when she said Santa comes to the kids in Hawaii on a skateboard and that he says, "cowabunga!"
We certainly added a wonderful family Christmas memory to our list by participating. We were so grateful to do it and we loved every minute of it!

What a wonderful Christmas memory you made together! Hopefully, at least Brinkley and Braxton will remember it fondly too. Love how really happy everyone looks!
