I was invited to a "swap" tonight by my friend, Callie, and I had such a great time. Apparently something similar was on Oprah recently but I missed it and Callie planned this weeks ago, that's how in touch with cool things she is. Anyway, about 6 of us got together and each brought about 20 items in good condition. We ate yummy food and then took turns choosing items, two at a time from the tables of fun stuff. I came home with some great stuff and I had a wonderful night. You should do it with your friends too--you'll love it! Before I left David told me to just keep taking junk out of the house, but not to bring anything back--MEN!
While I was gone David fed our kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...their first peanut experience. I've been a slight freak about nuts, I've just heard so many terrible stories. I was going to feed them peanut butter in the waiting room at their doctor's office at their visit next week. That way if either one had a reaction there would be help nearby. Well, thanks to my hubby, it's all good! I'm not going to lie, it's a total relief! Bring on the peanut butter!
After arriving home we were cleaning up the house and David went to take the trash out and you guessed it...that crazy bird flew in again! I was talking on the phone to my brother Jeremy at the time and I may have said a bad word and I would like to publicly apologize to him. It's just not every day you're sitting on your couch and a bird comes whizzing by. Anyway, David's a pro at catching it now, so the whole "de-birding" of our house went much quicker this time. Pray for us and that crazy bird and her gazillion babies!
We still can't come up with a name we both like...the names are pouring in and here are a few great ones:
1. Bridger: Love it, but don't think it's right for us.
2. Bentley: Love it...I had a boy in one of my groups when I was an EFY counselor named, Bentley--cute as can be, David doesn't like it.
3. Beckett: Love it, always have, it has been on our baby name list for years along with Luke, Lincoln and Brady...we've said good bye to Luke and Lincoln, Brady is still my fave, but I DO LOVE Beckett!
What do you think?

What a fun party idea. If only I had that many friends. I've become a hermit lately I'm afraid. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the bird drama keep us posted! And names drive me nuts...I wish you luck luck and more luck!
So I guess you are sticking with the letter "B". Well, I like Brady - I should because it is my son's middle name! ha ha. Brady is Jon's mom's maiden name, so it worked well for us and we like the way "Rowan Brady Larson" sounded. Anyways, I am thinking you don't have my new blog URL since it says I have not updated in like a month on your link list - it is: chitchat-jibberjabber.blogspot.com
I LOVE Beckett!! Way cute, never heard it before! I like the B theme. I also like Bridger and Bentley..... I dread picking out names..... good luck!
I'd have to agree with Heather. I love Brady. Bridger is my street name so personally I'd steer away from that one (little pun there ha ha) Anyway, Brady! That's my vote and I'm stickin to it!
I like Beckett. Boy names are SO hard, but i'm sure you will decide on something that is perfect for the little guy.
Brady is a good name! And I'm glad you don't have to worry about your little ones and peanuts. I share your dread of nut allergies.
I want to do the swap thing...great idea to get rid of stuff! That crazy bird, she wants to move in.
I love Brady, it is my first choice. Beckett is a close second...Brady does not have a quick short nick name tho! Brax, Brink, and Beck (I guess you could do Brade)...pretty cute!
Just gonna toss this on out there... how about Bunting? (maybe not) :)
Ya, good luck with naming. So helpful, I know...
When I read Beckett, I thought of Beckham. The soccer player.
Hey Amanda
This is Andrea (Tomlinson) Young. I don't know if you remember me. We were friends at the UNLV Institute. You got me a job at BBW. Anyways I found your blog through KC's blog. Your family is so cute! Congrats on the new baby.
As for names. I have heard some different "B" names lately: Beckham (just a another versions of the beck names), Brooks or Broox, Brycen, and Bennett. Good Luck. I hope those names help. Naming kiddos is so hard!
email me and I will invite you too my blog.
