"Can't Touch This!

=

At work we're always talking politics and today I heard a funny quote that I would like to share with my loyal Blog readers.

"Obama is a fad...like MC Hammer!"

Romney had my vote and still has my heart. But I have to vote for the person that more closely represents my beliefs and values, and Obama is certainly not that man.

That is too funny! Put Obama in some hammer pants, glasses and some bling and they look like brothers. I'm with you on Romney. I think a debate between Obama and Romney would have been a good one.

Amanda,
I completely agree! I was just telling my husband that this morning. I just can't wait for next Wednesday.

Woohoo! We agree 110%. Although we don't like McCain that much either, he is the lesser of two evils right? I think Romney will run again don't you?

This is our favorite article right now...http://www.ocregister.com/articles/obama-most-one-2205757-world-people

AMEN SISTER! Loved this post! I have a good source that tells me Mitt's going to run in 2012. Can we really wait 4 dreadful years? Love you, Girl!

This election for me is about voting for the lesser of the two evils. So for us McCain it is. I miss Romney. He was so much easier to look at and listen to.

I hate this election. And while I am not a fan of either candidate, I, for one, am THRILLED Romney didn't get the nomination. Sorry, but I just don't like the guy or the way he does things. I was rooting for Guiliani.

Yeah a man with morals who values family and God and whose been faithfully married to one woman over 25 years and actually has experience with fixing fractured economical infrastructures has no place governing this country. Take a hike Mitt. We want another talking head incapable of uttering anything that resembles a cognitive thought, with known links to terrorists and ZERO experience (he's a senator not even a governor) to lead us. Go America!

Well said Jeremy. I agree with you 1000%.Is it any wonder I love you so much. Mitt Romney was head and shoulders above the rest. He was extremely successful in his own state. He bailed out the winter Olympics. He stood for and supported family values; he was a devoted husband and father. The man taught and lived with high moral character. Let’s face facts. The Christian Coalition wouldn’t support him and came out publicly and said so. What can you say bad about the man? Oh yeah he’s a stinkin Mormon. He got tossed because Mormons are not Christian. Even though his church is the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. Even though he believes that God and Jesus Christ are two separate and distinct individual. Even though he believe that Jesus Christ is the literally son of god. He was the most qualified candidate by far and the one with the most experience. Now we have a choice between Obama and McCain. Yeah buddy now there is a quandary. No doubt about it, McCain is the lesser of two evils.

Hey, I didn't say Mitt was a bad guy or that he wasn't qualified, I said I wasn't a supporter. I don't like him. I don't like that he was pro-choice for all of those years and then changed his position before running for president. If you're pro-choice, be pro-choice, but don't change your position to win over social conservatives.

Just because I'm LDS doesn't mean I have to support an LDS candidate, but other members of the Church always clobber me for saying that I didn't care for him. He's not The Chosen One, he's a man who happens to be LDS who has presidential aspirations. Good for him. And I'm a woman who happens to be LDS who would have rather voted for Rudy Giuliani. I'm not denouncing the gospel by having a different preference, I'm exercising my agency. And if it leads me to down to hell, well, I guess I'll see Rudy there.

Luckily for all the Romney supporters, it doesn't matter what I think because I changed my party affiliation to independent last month and can't vote in the Republican primaries in 2012. Sorry to have upset anyone. I wasn't trying to cause controversy, just saying that I don't like our current options either, but I'm glad Romney isn't the Republican nominee. I'm sure he's a nice man, he's just not my cup of tea.

P.S. I also think Obama is a communist and associates with far too many shady characters to be a person we should entrust with our freedom and leading our country. I am not voting for him. I just haven't decided if I'm voting for McCain. Maybe I'll do a write-in vote for Amanda.

Wendy, I love that you are passionate about your views. Please don't think of my words as an attack on you because that was not the intent with which they were given. Please forgive me if that is how they were received. My comments are always meant to be satirically humorous. Everyone has a right to opinions. That is what makes America, America. My rant was only towards people who back someone who I believe to be a poor candidate (Obama) and don't know why they support him/her. You are correct, Mitt was pro choice but as he explained, a relative of his died getting an illegal abortion. That event was a huge factor in his pro choice stance when he ran for office, as he said his . But when he was given the chance to act on it, he didn't. He said he could not sign any bills that would not protect the sacredness of life so he changed then and there. Much like Saul on the road to Damascus who then became Pual, one of the greatest advocates for right who has ever lived. People can and do change for the better. Hey, maybe I'm on to something...Mitt should run in 2012 as Matt Romney. ;) Anyway, Mitt is a mute point because he is out so it's pointless to talk about him.
I would like to remind all Americans who reads this that we are living in the Promised Land and all blessings pertaining to it are ours too.. IF WE REMAIN FAITHFULL. However we will be accountable as a society for decisions that we make. I urge everyone to find a candidate who supports your values as closely as possible. Anyone who reads this, please, please don't vote for Obama. There are few redeeming moral values to anything he stands for and he is the most inexperienced candidate (imo) we have had in a long time. Although he shies away from the word socialism, that is exactly what his plan entails, he just calls it something else. I don't want this country to have to change its name. I can see it now on CNN. "And now the Prime Minister of the United Socialistic Republic of America, formerly the President of the Unites States of America will address us." We are in trouble if he gets in. Socialism doesn't work..just ask William Bradford. Sorry for the dissertation
