I still can’t believe that the babies are 6 months old. It’s gone so fast. Early on everyone said to savor each moment and I seriously thought, “Are you kidding me—it can’t go by fast enough!” (There were some long, difficult nights early on!) But now, time can’t go by slow enough. They are so fun and every day it just so precious to us. With every outfit they grow out of and every new “trick” they learn I am reminded that my babies are going up and that I must cherish these sacred moments.
Brinkley Jada
When people say she looks like me it is seriously that greatest compliment in the world. She is so beautiful and funny. She’s compassionate and friendly. She’s serious and tender. The other day she gave me such a perplexed look and I said to her, “Don’t you pretend you don’t know me!” Then she just starting laughing out loud. She laughs and smiles in such abundance. She’s become so easygoing and carefree. She loves her brother and her doggie. She loves to stare at them both so intently. She shows such concern when Braxton cries and you can tell she genuinely cares about him. I usually wake him up first and then he and I will go wake her up and she will just light up and not take her eyes off of him. She still refuses to sleep through the night, there’s nothing like some quality time with you daughter at 4 in the morning. David can put her to sleep way better than I can and he’s always giving me tips. He’s a great dad and loves her so much. She can flip from her back to her tummy and back way faster than any baby I’ve ever seen. She wants to crawl and she’s almost there. She’s a messy eater, a drooler and a barfer. She’s got pierceing, blue eyes, chubby thighs, no teeth and a bit of a comb-over…she’s perfect.
Braxton Reese
He’s a chunk. He’s definitely taken the lead in the weight department. A friend said his feet looked like little blowfish! We love it; we said we wanted chunky babies before we were ever pregnant. They are always the cutest. I think his weight plays a great advantage at night; he sleeps like a log for 12 hours straight. He has a huge smile and gets embarrassed easily. He loves to sing to himself and at church. He loves his tongue and sticks it out with such joy. He has become more assertive; he is a boy who knows what he wants. He loves his sister and when they are next to each other it’s usually Braxton who reaches for her hand. He has these amazing gray eyes that I can stare at all day and the chubbiest cheeks you just can’t resist kissing. He’s almost crawling, David says it just arm strength that he needs to develop to lift himself off the ground. Sometimes he gets stuck on his belly and can’t get back around. Some mornings I’ll go in to wake him up and he’ll just be laying there giggling and singing, he can entertain himself easily. He loves to jump in his jumper and can keep a rhythm…it’s hysterical. One day the babysitter called to tell me that she’s now going to call him “Braxton Travolta” because he’s such a good “dancer!” He’s got never ending toe jam, he’s a great burper, he’s strong, toothless and beautiful…he’s perfect.

It made me tear up just looking and reading your blog update. I am missing so much. They are so adorable. I can't wait to see them again and get some serious twin loving.
I was so happy to see the new addition to your blog! I check it daily and I'm always so excited to see new pictures of the two darlings. They change so quickly and after a few weeks I can sure see a difference. They are just as you said...PERFECT!
They are getting so big. I wish I could give them both a big kiss and squeeze them tight. Thanks for the pictures!!
Great pictures! You can tell they love being twins.
