CALIFORNIA--2008

We just got back from a wonderful trip to California to visit my family! We had a lot of "firsts" and some great times. We're sad it's over, but we are happy to be home...let's just say it's much easier to take care of two infants in your own home!
This is a picture of the babies a few days before we left! They were so excited to go on their big California adventure!
This is what we looked like on the plane. We actually took these on the way home. Everyone on the plane saw us board and probably thought it would be a terrible flight, but actually the babies were angels and enjoyed the flights!

My Dad, Mom and sisters, Aimee, Andrea and Jennifer picked us up at the airport in Bakersfield. They brought us our favorite foods that we don't have here in New Mexico. Our names were written on the bags and they were standing there like the limo drivers do when all the people get off their flights. Too funny! I had Chipotle and David had In-In-Out!Here's everyone at the airport loving them some babies!
I turned the big 3-0 while we were in California. For my birthday all the family that was still in town went to Macaroni Grill. It was delicious and we had a great time. Here are some pictures of the festivities! This picture is of David carrying both of the babies out to the car. Always fun to see that!
We stayed at Papa Harmon's house..he's the O.G. Papa. While there I snapped a picture of this picture that hangs on the wall in his bedroom, it's of my Gammy. I think she and Brinkley favor each other!
Here's the babies' first swimming experience. Neither one cried, they seemed a little nervous, but I think they enjoyed the pool!

Before we left, we took the babies to my Gammy's grave. She loved doing crossword puzzles and my nephew Jake thought it would be a nice idea to leave some on her headstone. So that's what's hanging out of the flowers!

I am so glad that you posted pictures. They are so fun to look at. I am sure your Papa Harmon enjoyed having you at his house. That was sweet that you took the time to take the twins to your Grammy's grave. Happy Birthday - I am glad you got to celebrate it with family.

What great fun we had. I am so amazed of how fast it went. We enjoyed you guys so much. Those are some seriously cute kids. I love their little personalities. Thank you for a wonderful visit. I am already looking forward to the next trip. It's terrible that we all live so far from each other. I am sorry we didn't have shishkabob for your birthday. You look good for 30. Thank you the for all you did. We love all four of you very much and are so glad you are ours.
