Not Quite A Blood Hound Beneath That Zebra Stripped Collar

We are so lucky that literally 25 steps from our front door is a beautiful park and every night we walk Blossom around the cement path that borders it. Tonight on our first "lap" around I noticed a rabbit hunched down and completely frozen right along the path. I pointed it out to David and he and I laughed that Blossom hadn't noticed it. The closer we got, she still didn't see the rabbit. We picked her up and pointed at the stinking thing and still nothing. We did another lap and again...our baby was clueless. On the third lap I ran inside to get the camera because I was so amazed that the rabbit had still not moved from the vicinity...apparently it sensed no predator in Blossom.
Finally on the third lap with all the camera flashing it moved and Blossom went into "attack mode," if that's what you call it. She barked and pretended to get fierce and got tangled in her leash.
(I just imagined her as one of those guys that doesn't want to fight so says, "hold me back, hold me back.") It was so funny. Blossom's a solid 13 pounds and I think that 4 pound bunny could have given her a good fight had it come to blows, she's a wimp! But she's our wimp.

Doggy Day Camp Update: She got a C+. Yes, she got a report card. Apparently Little Miss Toughie with the rabbit was so afraid of the other dogs at day camp that she sat on the "Camp Counselor's" lap the whole day. I'm going to take her back sometime this week; we're shooting for at least a B- this time!
