Amarillo, Texas

What A Weekend

We spent the weekend in Amarillo, Texas visiting my brother Jeremy’s Family. We had such a great time and Jeremy and Eliza were great hosts, they even put up with Blossom! And the kids were as adorable as ever. Here are a few of our adventures…

Racquetball

I haven’t played racquetball since I moved to New Mexico 10 months ago…I know, it’s a crying shame. I won’t say that we played ALL the time back in Las Vegas, but David and I did play a few times a month. There aren’t courts near us here. I want to start a campaign to have some built by the city, could you imagine me outside the grocery stores asking for signatures??? Something to think about.

This just might be the worst picture we have ever taken.

This is Jeremy and I trying to act tough.

The four of us, stinky and sweaty!

David, NOT wanting his picture taken. Sometimes it's just hard to lose!

So while we were in Amarillo, "Racquetball capital of Texas." We played with my brother Jeremy and his friend Jeremy. We played doubles and it was tough, they each took one of us as partners, but they are much better players than David and I (As you can probably tell by the headbands, wristband, protective eye wear [I borrowed a pair from them.]). It was like we were watching them play, but we were on the court getting in their way. So we split off and we went to our own court. David won game one, I won game two, we didn’t finish game three because of time, but David was ahead 4-2. BUT, if you add up all the points I scored more, so I say Match to Amanda!

Side Note: My brother Jeremy is amazing at racquetball. He plays in a league and I know when his opponents see him, they probably think, “Easy win,” but they are severely mistaken. He’s a rock star on the court… “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Mr. Gatti’s

After racquetball we went to Mr. Gatti’s, it’s a local pizza buffet and arcade. It was so much fun. I have never seen David eat more food in my life…he wanted to play “Break The Buffet,” and I think he just about did. We played bumper cars, basketball, bowling, and a bunch of kiddy games, one even injured Jeremy and I…you had to spin a ball as fast as you could to get a little animal around a track to win tickets. We challenged each other and both walked away with bruised thumbs. They even had a ticket eater that would count your tickets for you. I was totally amazed by it, do you remember the old days when you had to count them yourself, or weigh them…arcades have come so far!

The amazing ticket eater.

Riley Loo Freebush, on one of the rides.

David, breaking the buffet.

Jake, on the bumper cars.

Brooke, speeding by.

Morgan

Here are a few pictures of Morgan…the happiest baby I have ever met. Seriously, I have never met a baby with a better disposition.

I'm glad we have Amanda around to keep me posted on what Liza and her family are up to. It has been entirely too long since the Amarillo Clements have posted on their blog. Sounds like you guys all had a great time.

You looked like you kept busy for the weekend. ... Can I just say that Blossom is a very well treated pup? Doggie day camp, family vacations, designer attire (collar) ... I'm jealous.
