Who They Are Now

This update was due at the end of October and I feel so bad that I missed my deadline, I would say that I'm a slacker, but that would be 100% false because I am one hard working mama, so I'll just say that here it is now and I'll leave it at that!

Wow, we've made it over some big hurdles in the last few months, Brinkley and Braxton are potty trained and Brady walks! As proud of our little ones as we are, there's also the same sad realization that they are growing up! These moments are all so precious! Enjoy this glimpse into the lives of our 3 greatest accomplishments!

Brinkley Jada--34 Months

Oh, how I love her! She's my greatest challenge right now! Some mornings right before she awakes I get a little nervous, "which Brinkley will I get today?" Sometimes it's the sweet, cuddly one and sometimes (sadly more often) it's the screaming, demanding, refuses to put clothes on Brinkley! I know if I can just get her dressed without too much drama, we're going to have a good day! But most days she just wants to wear her Disney Princess high heels and panties, that's it! She's beginning to despise clothing! Well, let me rephrase that, she despises shirts and pants! She has no objection to dresses, the gaudier the better! That being said, I do appreciate her passion and diligence! She loves phones, playing with them (she has her own apps) and talking on them! She's still a lover of lip gloss and gum. And "I do it myself!" just may be her favorite phrase! She loves to dance and sing, and is constantly demanding that other people stop singing! She always refers to the boys as her brothers and I think it's so endearing! She and Braxton still have their moments of chaos, but more and more, they are enjoying each other's presence! She loves warm milk and fruit snacks! She loves doing hair and adorning herself with jewelry! She talks to herself a lot when she thinks no one is paying attention and she could look at herself in the mirror for hours just jabbering away! She's very independent and always wants to go to the potty by herself, mainly so she can wash her hands and look in the mirror with no distraction! She'll ask, "mama, I so pretty?" after I do her hair and my response is always the same, "prettiest girl I know!" She lives life and dives into everything with passion and determination, I adore her!

Braxton Reese--34 Months

Boy, boy, boy! He's such a classic boy! He likes to sword fight, shoot guns, swing bats, box, throw and run! He keeps us busy and himself in timeouts! He's getting better and understanding limits more and more! He's very obedient and is usually the first to do something when asked, like cleaning up the toys or getting into the bath! He loves being a big boy and even wants a skateboard for Christmas (um, no!) He is very compassionate and cares about others! Brady will probably be his best friend someday, but is usually in his way now and is constantly getting batted down by Braxton! But if someone else is doing the batting down, he shows compassion! Braxton loves green beans and yogurt, usually pronounced "laygurt!" Which is so odd, because he is so good at articulating, yogurt is his Achilles heel! He doesn't have the blue eyes his siblings have, but he doesn't need them, his eyes truly sparkle! He loves swinging with his daddy and building anything as long as he can knock it down! He's by far our loudest child in church and just a few weeks ago he screamed, "mom, I am whispering!" He's enjoying nursery more and is definitely the bully of the class, we're working on it! He loves to snuggle in his new big boy bed, and shares his pillow and blanket, unlike his sister! He loves putting things inside of other things and would totally carry a purse if we let him, he's learning to stuff his pockets instead! He's such a sweet little boy and a great brother!

Brady Cameron--16 Months

He walks! He walks! For a while we wondered if he'd ever walk, he just wasn't too interested in it! And then BAM, we introduced "walking for candy!" and he was top of the class!!! We've noticed with Brady that he has the sweetest disposition and just does things at his own pace....slow! He's still not really into talking, he says ma, da, dog, juice, and his favorite, wait for it....ball! That kid loves balls!!! He is just like his big brother! Lives for balls! They make him do happy! We've recently introduced big balloons that he hits around the house and we've been very impressed with his hand, eye coordination, he can hit it like a volleyball three times without it hitting the ground! We're very proud parents! He loves all food, he's by far our best eater! The poor kid get knocks down and hit by his siblings constantly and many times for no reason at all! He's sadly learning to fight back and has become a biter, that make 3 for 3 in the biting department, where did we go wrong? He's our best sleeper and goes down without a fuss, he's happy when he wakes and rarely cries at all! He finally got his 4 top and 4 bottom front teeth, he's working on his molars as we speak, poor buddy! We live him so much and live the joy and happiness he's brought into our lives and home! Seriously Thank you!! I loved reading this and getting a tiny window into your world. :)

What a huge milestone for all of you that Brinkley and Braxton are potty trained and Brady and walking. So glad you take the time to update this for all of us. I can vouch that you are a hard working mom. David, you're no slouch either. Love and hugs to all.
