Houston, Texas-2009

We just got back a few days ago from Houston, Texas. We had a great time seeing my sisters, Andrea and Aimee, Aimee's hubby, Shaun and their little guy, Cooper. Here's a little recap of the fun we had...
The Plane

Okay, so the flight there was HELL. David and I were both ready to sell two babies to the highest bidders once we landed. We seriously will never fly again for like three more years. This was the kid's 3rd round trip and we thought for sure they would be pros...wrong. They did redeem themselves on the way home, but we're still not interested in traveling again any time soon!

The Food

Shaun and a tired Binky at Gringos!David and Braxton messing with a bull on the wall at Gringos...I'm pretty sure there's a reason they hung it so high! (Do you like how my baby is missing a sock?)

Cooper and Drea at Gringos!

The babies at The Cheesecake Factory.

Poor Drea got stuck between David and Shaun at The Cheesecake Factory--we all thought it was so funny except for her!

Aimee and I at Cheesecake...and the cool view from our table of Downtown Houston.

We ate all all my favorite places and a few extra! We enjoyed Chipotle, Jamba Juice, Panera Bread Company, The Cheesecake Factory, Gringos (a local Houston favorite) and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (David's bosses gave him $200 in cash the day we flew out and told him to take me somewhere nice like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse--the prices were outrageous, but the food was yummy!)
The Park

They have a beautiful park really close to their house, we walked over there one day while everyone was at work and the kiddos loved it!

Sprinkler Fun
We hooked up a sprinkler to the hose one day and let the kids run free. Cooper loved it, Braxton was more interested in the grass and what was hiding under the BBQ cover and Brinkley was just chill the whole time.

The New Stroller

In honor of the trip we bought a new stroller...thank goodness, the other one was just getting way too heavy for me. We used it a few times while Brittany was here, but in Houston we really put that thing to the test and it was awesome. And I think the kids like being right next to each other.

Church Basketball

Shaun's awesome headband.

While we were there Shaun invited David to play for their ward's team during a stake game and it was awesome. They lost, but it was amazing to watch, Shaun and David probably scored 80% of their team's points and I'm pretty sure the refs had never played basketball before. Shaun was a bit of a trash talker to the dumb refs and even got a Technical foul, I was shocked David didn't speak up, but Shaun said plenty for the whole team. After it was over Andrea said, "I never been prouder to call Shaun my brother-in-law." Seriously, the game was awesome. David even got invited to move to Houston to join the team...not going to happen!

The Bluebonnets
This was the best picture of all four of us, we all look a little crazy, but at least we tried.

We participated in a Texas tradition of photographing our kids in a field of Bluebonnets. Aimee said that in Texas you're not a good parent if you don't do it. So here's to good parenting!
The Trio

Here's our attempts to get the three kids together for a cute picture...Cooper was awesome, but the other two...well it's like herding cats!

We just want to publicly thank Cooper for letting the babies trash his toys, Shaun and Aimee for letting the babies trash their house and Andrea for letting the babies trash her car. Everyone was such a good sport with the chaos of two walking tornadoes...thank you all, we love you, and thanks for such a great time.

Just when I thought you couldn't get any cuter pictures of the twins, you do. They are so adorable. Love the fact that you had such a great time. Beautiful kids and beautiful adults as well. We really love you and miss ya'll.
