2 Years!!!

Today marks 2 years that I haven't eaten desserts. I didn't eat desserts through most of college (3 years) and then broke it on wedding cake at my own wedding--- I REALLY shouldn't have done that!!! I have eaten muffins, David says those are desserts hiding under the name "muffin," whatever!!! And I was eating trail mix one day and I thought I had picked all the M&Ms out of it and I tasted one before I spit it out. And once in a while David will eat some dessert and then kiss me and I can taste it, I think he does it one purpose. So here's to two years of no cake, cookies, candy, pie, brownies, ice cream and whatever other sweet treat I've turned down! I'm not sure how long I'll go, probably at least 5 years or maybe more...we'll see!

Congrats! If I cut out desserts, I would be totally healthy. Sugar is of the devil and causes addiction. Really. Way to conquer. I need to jump on your bandwagon.

You are so disciplined. I don't think I could ever find the will within myself to do that- desserts are just too awesome. I have to agree with David, though, most muffins are cake in a breakfast package. Unless they're made with bran and all sorts of healthy stuff, they're totally cheating. But hey, it's your thing so you get to make the rules!

I did that once for a year when I was a teenager. It got easier...but I don't know if I could actually do it again. I live for desserts these days. You're amazing.

Wow. Im super impressed. I didn't eat any desserts until I married Mr. Franklin and that quickly went out the door. I have been eating desserts for 4 years now. Did I mention that he got me addicted to diet coke also? Such a bad influence on me...

Good job staying strong! We made this our new years resolution though for 2009. Lets see how long that lasts...
