Memory Lane

Calling all Memories!! So here is a fun new blogging game:
1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. Have a nice little trip down memory lane!
(I know you just had a great memory of us....now leave a comment about it!!!)

Where do I begin -
Our Dad's Softball / Basketball Games - We were the best cheerleaders ever
Our Baptism - Getting ready to go back in - I remember your hair all slicked back in a pony (I think)
Girls Camps - I loved our 4th Year Hike - probably had something to do with your dad being there and the good food we ate
Making our Class Banner our Freshman Year - misspelled a word or no wait a backwards 9 or 6
Disneyland trip with your family - sleeping with the girls at the motel
Speaking at Graduation Together (Right - or am I remembering wrong?)
Price is Right Trip - my only time on a TV show
Moving to Vegas because of you - life changing and I'll never be able to repay for it
Dating our Hubbies - the drama in that!!
Late night talks
My Bachelorette Party - You put in so much time - it was a blast
Being at each other's weddings - you guys sacrificed a ton to be at ours - thank you again
My Baby Shower put on by you- It is still the best I have been to
You and David being one of the few visitors at the hospital after we had each of our boys
The list could go on and on.
You are such a huge part of my life. I miss you being so close - but they say never cry because it's over - smile because it happened. I cherish the years we had together in Vegas!!

You were my partner in crime in getting Jeremy to go out with me, remember the big plan? I was going to call for you even though I knew you were going to be out. Then I would act all disappointed that you weren't there to go to the movies with me and if everything went well Jeremy would offer to go with me. He wasn't picking up on the hints so I ended up just asking him if he wanted to go and he said yes! Now wer're sister in laws!!

This is what I remember...You and me walking down the dark street at 5 in the morning and you excitedly announcing..."I finally know what I want to do with my life! I'm gonna be in Annie in New York!" I was so shocked. I questioned you about several of my concerns...where would you live? how much would you get paid? what did your parents think about it? I just couldn't picture you performing in Annie...a Broadway musical. I hadn't even heard you sing. When I finally asked, "What part will you play?", you realized I had misunderstood. You said, "I want to be a nanny." What a relief!!! A red, curly wig would NOT suit you! LIZ

You were washing the dishes and were very upset and said "My children will never wash dishes" Mom had you write it on paper and we still have the note. Going on a hike to Jenny lake. What a blast. You worked very hard to catch fish. and did. Always so helpful and giving. I sure love my Renee

You have always been such a great friend and a compassionate sister. I remember a time when I got very carsick on our way fishing. I lost it in the car before we could pull over. When we got out of the car, you would not let me puke alone (and then we made dad puke and the brothers took off running)! What a pal you are! Thanks sis!

BTW All of the above made me smile. Liz's made me LOL! I totally remember you recounting this to me and me laughing hysterically. "The sun'll comeout tomorrow..." as only you can sing it!

Oh, we had some good ones at BBW! I remember how fun it was when you got promoted to a manager and it would just be the two of us until midnight at the Aladdin with hardly any customers and we would chat. And the Britney Spears concert we went to where you knew every dance and song. And the NSYNC concert was the ultimate! Remember how they were impressed with our dancing? And you had a huge crush on Joey. We used to always go celebrity searching on the Strip. Chrissy's bachelorette party where you made me buy that nasty cake... Hahaha!! I was so embarrassed. When you made me go to a singles dance with you and I was mortified that someone would ask me to dance and find out I was married!!!! And how you got me addicted to that cappucino lip gloss. I remember so many good talks with you then and I was so glad I made such a good friend in Vegas. Sigh. I miss you. But I"ll stop now!

Oh amanda there are so many but I think I must remind us of the camping trip I took with your family. The bathroom full of flies. We thought we could take care of the problem. Nothing a little hairspray and a flame couldn't fix. Oh wait, the chemicals in the port o'toilet? Yeah that might be a problem.
I am also still not sure how we made it down to the Price is right alive. I think the car drove itself. Driving down at 3 am with only a few hours of sleep, not a good idea.
There are so many of girls camp. I remember you braiding my hair for the 4th year hike. Those braids were so tight I think it is the reason my hair refuses to grow.
The first time I ever caught and cleaned a fish, too bad there is not a picture of that one. I have never done that since.

You said it...there are so many to choose from! How about going to Mavericks like every day during EFY in Provo to get Fat Free frozen yogurt. Or the time we dropped off surprises for our spotlight crushes every day when we were between sessions at EFY. So many HAPPY memories!! THANK YOU!

I will always remember the time we went to the Price is Right. We slept for a couple hours on the floor of one of Aimee's friends apartment. Aimee's friend won a washer and dryer. I still have a tape of the episode!

Do you remeber when I (we) met those crazy guys online, one named Thor. And then proceeded to go on the world's worst double date with them. It was hiking up in Provo Canyon. Thor pushed me into the river. It was horrible, but so funny and at least we had each other.

Ok, I have many funny memories with you Amanda! One is sitting in Gospel Doctrine behind you and David...I raise my hand to make a comment and the teacher ignores (ok, maybe overlooks me) and so you feel bad and ask me to tell you my comment because you want to hear what I have to say. Then Matt makes some crazy comment about likeing Chinese Food because a girl in the class is going to go to China...then the laughter and friendship begins. :)
The next funny memory is at "date night" down at the park on King when we are all witnesses to the 2 girls drag racing down King. Whoa! What a night that was. You were quite the star witness. :)
And I will never forget watching you on the tv show "Street Smart" at our "Office" party. Just hearing your name makes me smile because I have nothing but happy memories with you!

There are so many, but one of my favorites is when we met a certain family of boys and they got all worked up because you didn't know the California state song, so we went home, found it on the internet, learned it, stalked down the boys' identities and their phone numbers, called them and sang it to them. THAT was classic. And most of them still didn't love us for it. The gall!
