A month ago the babies’ pediatrician said that we could start the babies on oatmeal cereal, but when they tried it neither one seemed too excited about it. So yesterday David had a great idea to try flavored oatmeal cereal to see if they would like it better. Well, I don’t know if it was the banana flavoring or the fact that they have matured a month, but they loved it, especially Braxton. Yesterday was also the first time that they have ever actually used their high chairs to eat. (I did put Brinkley in one once so she could watch me make dinner!) Just a few things that we learned from the experience:
1. Use bibs next time.
2. Don’t feed them over carpeted areas.
3. Make more for Braxton next time…that boy can eat!
4. Have a hose ready for Brinkley when she’s done…that girl is one messy eater!

5. We are so blessed everyday to be a part of their lives, each new experience, each first, each laugh or smile, all our dreams have come true!

You know it is amazing to me how much I enjoy pics of these two. I could just watch them sleeping. Thank you for the update. They are truly goregous and I can't wait to see them again.
They seem so grown up already eating big baby food! I can't believe how fast the time is going! You have seriously cute kids! Good job!
I love when they start eating actual food. Especially when you can start giving them mashed-up bowls of your own food- it makes life so much easier! I think babies must have a serious thing for bananas- bananas were Chunk's first solid food and she still has to eat at least one every day.
They are getting so big! Bananas make everything better. It sounds disgusting, but I added banana flavored cereal to any food that Warren didn't like & he would eat it...green beans & banana rice cereal, anyone? Quick thinking, David!
