Our 5th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday! It was such a great day! Because of bad weather David got to come home early from work and we went out on an early date. We left at 3:30 PM and we were home before 9 PM. We hired a babysitter and went and saw Indiana Jones. (Side note: It’s been over a year since we’ve seen a full-priced movie, we normally wait for the dollar theater or until it comes to Redbox [See www.redbox.com ], so needless to say this was a real treat.) We then shopped around the mall looking for matching Lakers’ t-shirts. And then we went and ate at a new place called Mondo’s—kind of like Chipotle but not even close! We got some great presents: 1. All of Aimee’s second graders sang “Happy Anniversary To You!” It’s like the birthday song, but with “anniversary” instead. 2. The Lakers beat the Spurs! 3. Brinkley only woke up once last night. 4. And both babies slept until 9:30 this morning—amazing!

I snapped this picture of us before we left last night. I believe the 5 years have weathered us well. In the 5 years, we’ve moved twice, bought two homes, got a dog and had a couple of kids…there have been ups and there have been downs, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Because it means I am where I am right now and I love my crazy, beautiful, chaotic life, my amazingly imperfect husband, our insomniac children and our yippy dog.
