I think everyone thought I was crazy when I said I wanted to do a black and white nursery. It slowly evolved into green, black and white and then I think everyone thought I had officially gone nuts. But I think it turned out beautifully and I am so proud of all the hard work David and I put into making the room so special. So enjoy the pictures--which by the way I don't think do it justice!
We got mini cribs that convert into twin beds when the babies are ready. According to the sales lady they can stay in them until about 24 months. Something I didn't think about before we got them was how hard it would be to find bedding for a mini crib. You can find bedding, but very limited. So I just decided to do it on my own. I made the quilts, bed skirts and curtains without even a pattern (they don't have patterns available either!) Their names are on the wall using vinyl lettering you rub on the wall. I bought them from a website called http://www.wallchatterinc.com/, by far my favorite website for lettering and reasonably priced, check it out!

My friend has a black and white and pink nursery for her girl Mia. It's super cute. Yours is darling. Can't wait to see how everything goes down with the birth of those lucky babies!
Adorable! What lucky babies you have. I want you to design a nursery for my next baby, you did such a great job.
very cute of course. I haven't seen you do anything that isn't. Hey want to make some extra money and make my baby bedding. Yours turned out so dang cute. I was thinking the other day of doing a bathroom in black white and yellow. After seeing your nursery I think it would turn out okay. I love your colors
We love it. I think it is perfect. I love the mini crib idea. I think I might get one if we ever get rid of our hand me down one. Have fun - just a few more days.
We have a mini crib- ours isn't as cute as I don't think they are easy to come by, especially in the three to four years ago range. We have big kids- and they will last to around 2 years- just in time for a real bed. Great idea.
I am so impressed. Handmade bedding and textiles (w/o a pattern!), framed photos, matching tissue boxes... you have put me to shame. My kid's room STILL isn't that put together, and all my stuff was store-bought! Once again, Amanda proves she may be Superwoman.
You are still walking around?? Gosh, I totally thought you would be in labor by now. Thats great! You are carrying them so well! The room is great. I can't believe you did it all. Its super cute. I love the black and green together. Sofia's is grass green, pink, and white. Green is awesome. I am so over pink though. Good luck with everything! We can't wait to hear the story and see the pics! I am finishing up some headbands for the girl and then I will ship them out with the rest of the present. Sorry its running late! My daughter is trying to eat my tacos so gotta go!
Hi Amanda - I'm one of your secret blog fans and I decided I had to come out of the shadows and leave a comment when I saw how adorable you made the babies' rooms. Wow. You should consider quitting your job and begin making baby bedding for a living. I'd be a customer! Anyway, I wanted to say congratulations on the twins. I'm really excited for you! - Zan Pratt
I LOVE IT. Girl you are talented! New Mexico isn't too far from Arizona right? I need to come for a visit and have you teach me a thing or two! It's beautiful.
