I know I posted like a month ago that David would be moving here the following Monday…didn’t happen. Did I mention that things in New Mexico are a little slooooooooooower than most places, but I do love it here. So as of April 28th he finally moved here. It has been such a fun two weeks. I put signs all over the house, this one is still up in our master bathroom. We went to dinner the other night and we starting talking about what we each had learned from this huge trial in our life and I really believe that I've learned so much. I love and appreciate David so much more, my prayers have become more sincere and I have such a greater knowledge that Heavenly Father does indeed have a plan for us and if this is ours…I’ll take it!
So other than spending way more time with David, my life is pretty much as boring as possible. I have discovered that I watch way too much TV and it's all on ABC. (Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelor, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Notes From The Underbelly and Oprah [She's syndicated, but that's the channel she's on here.]) I seriously had to have a talk with myself when The Traveler came on after Grey's Anatomy last night, "Amanda, you watch way too much TV, turn it off!" I did turn it off, but now I'm dying to know what happened...did anyone watch it? All of these shows will be ending soon, thank goodness, because Big Brother will start up this summer (On CBS!). Is anyone going to join me for a summer of fun? Brittany? Kim and Jared? Aimee and Shaun? Anyone is welcome and you're all invited to my house for the Season Finale!
Side Note:
Blossom is starting Doggy Day Camp next week. I was on speakerphone with my parents when I told them and they both broke out into laughter. I'm serious about this. And I don't think it's that funny, plus, she would be dying to start if she only knew what was coming. Here's what's on the agenda (directly from the Resort's [Yes, it's called a resort] website):
Daily Activities Include:
Arrivals:
Arrivals:
Dogs are checked in. Early arrivals have time for some additional shut eye before the play groups begin.
Morning Activities:
Ball fetching, chasing games, wrestling, tunnel running, Frisbee toss, tug-of-war, and other fun activities.
Individual attention:
Watering, feeding if requested, special needs.
Nap time:
After a very active morning, it’s time for some R & R.
Afternoon Program:
Back outside for another round of fun activities.
Yappy Hour:
An intellectual snack for your dog to enjoy -- a stuffed Kong or Molecube that’s both tasty and thought-provoking. [I have no idea what this is, but next week I'll let you know!]
Departures:
Dogs have time to unwind a bit before they’re picked up to go home.
I'll take some pictures and let you know how it goes!
Second Side Note:
My sister, Jennifer, sent this by e-mail and I thought it was just way too good to pass up, so I'm sharing it with you, enjoy!
"Just when you thought your day was crappy."
"There I was minding my own business when I walk out to my car after school and find the biggest pile of crap I have ever seen from a bird. Yep...direct hit. So, if you're having a crappy day, just think of me and my big pile of crap on my beautiful car!!!"

Thanks Amanda for the update into your life. WOW! I am so jealous of Blossom. Can you imangine going somewhere and someone encouraging you to take a nap, giving you a snack, crawling through a tunnel, playing fetch, rubbing your belly, having to time to wind down, and someone comming and picking you up. Sign me you. Blossom we wish you the best and hope you enjoy doggy day camp.
I love it Amanda- by the way you treat your dog I know that you are going to be the best mother ever. My kids may want to move in with you in they catch wind of how well Blossom gets treated! I love that you and David are together...tell him hi! We'd love to see/read a blog from David one of these days.
I hope Blossom BLOOMS while she's at camp. It sounds like fun.
I don't even recognize your sister, Jenn. Crazy.
And I watch all those same shows too. Who do you think the bachelor will pick? I'm sorry, but Bevin drives me nuts. I am totally voting for Apolo and Julianne- LOVE them! Wait, I didn't notice if you watch LOST. I am obsessed with that show and with Grey's Anatomy. But really, I am sick of Meredith's crappy life. Can she just be happy longer than 1 episode? And I watched Traveler. It was really good- you can watch it on ABC.com, I think. And I figure I need a show to watch this summer anyway.
Amanda, anytime you want to blog about TV, I'm all for it! I am a TV junkie, and it's bad. But it's relaxing, and cheaper than spending money at Target (my other way to decompress!)
I too have fallen victim to watching too much TV. I blame it on Shaun's knee surgery and nursing...it was all we could do for months! And with DVR, it is way too easy to watch everything. I am with Mandee...Bevin is annoying and whiney. I am addicted to Grey's. I wish there was a non-weird way to bring back Denny...I hate the adultery story-line (but then again the show would be nothing without it I guess). Underbelly is funny. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BIG BROTHER!
Wow... that's one big pile of crap Jen... at least you were in class, and not standing there getting ready to get in! HAHAHA
Fun stuff for Blossom- it sounds like her day camp is more organized than some preschools I"ve seen.
