What A Weekend!

Happy late Easter everyone. Here's a shot of my favorite little Easter, ray of sunshine.

David and I spent the weekend together in Las Vegas to celebrate his Birthday and to spend Easter with his family. We spent Friday night at The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa.Nate and Tawni (shout out!) just stayed at a Westin too. It was really nice, a lot of litte details that are very different than most hotels and as Oprah always says, "Love is in the details." The shower had two heads; there was a light-up vanity mirror in the bathroom perfect for eyebrow tweezing, free, bottled water (most hotels that put it in your room charge you for it) and lots of other extras. So if anyone is going to Las Vegas I would recommend it. The entire hotel is smoke-free and it’s one block off the big corner of Las Vegas Boulevard across from Bally’s, The Bellagio and Caesar’s Palace.

It was so much fun to pretend we were tourists. We went to dinner, we walked over to the Bellagio and watched the fountains and we meandered through T & CO. (I pointed out to David a few options that would make great anniversary gifts next month, I have this bracelet, but aren't the matching earrings adorable??? Hint!!!!)It was a lot of fun and then the next morning we lounged poolside, where we were definitely the whitest people there. We spent the rest of the weekend at David’s parent’s house. We finally rented out our condo, so no more free places to stay in Las Vegas.

Random Thought Alert:

I have an idea for a reality show…it will be called “The Hotel Room” and cameras follow around everyone the checks into the same hotel room in Las Vegas. Haven’t you always wondered who slept in the bed before you did? Who showered in that same shower? What were they doing in Las Vegas? Business? Or pleasure? You wouldn’t know that you are part of the show until you are asked to participate upon check-in. They have you sign the waiver and then you get whatever you want complementary from the hotel. It would be fascinating. And then just like CSI, there can be “The Hotel Room: Miami” and “The Hotel Room: New York.” Does anyone know Mark Burnett? Could you pass on my idea? Thanks!

I love the show idea...you are always thinking - does your mind ever rest!?! By the way, I bought the Pilates video and just when I thought I had it under control the real moves started. Needless to say it kicked my fanny!! Thanks for the recommendation - I'll let you know how it goes.

Awe...you mentioned us. The Westin is cool huh. You can get really good starwood points too, but watch out...they will try to sell you a timeshare! Nate will have to tell the story sometime. Its so funny. We got away because of Sofia. She had a HUGE blowout all over Nate, the seat, carpet, her dress, her socks! It was great! The show actually sounds really interesting. I think I would watch!Only if walls could talk...
