A Weekend With My Husband
If you ever want to complain about your spouse just think about us...in order to see each other, we have to either purchase an airplane ticket or drive 8 hours. Your spouse may get on your nerves sometimes, but at least they are NEAR you! David came into town this weekend, we didn't do much, but we have fun. I just love my husband! We did however, take down the Christmas lights that were still on the house. I feel like a "redneck woman," the ones that Gretchen Wilson sings about..."Cause I'm a redneck woman And I ain't no high class broad I'm just a product of my raisin' And I say "hey y'all" and "Yee Haw." And I keep my Christmas lights on, on my front porch all year long. And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song..." I know it's March and the lights were still on the house, but there's a story. Right after Christmas I went back to Durango, Colorado for work and then when I got back home, I left for Las Vegas like 4 days after that. While in Las Vegas I fell off a ladder and sprained my ankle so horribly bad, it's makes me shiver reenacting it now. It was terrible. I couldn't even breathe, I thought I was going to throw up and I could barely speak. I just kept whispering to David, "help me, help me." I'm all better now, but my fear of ladders is why the Christmas lights were up until March 5th! (This picture was taken in December, click on it to enlarge it to see our amazing, just kidding, Christmas lights!.)

Anyway, so while David was here I really wanted to go to the Rio Grande Zoo here in Albuquerque, we didn't make it but he promised me next time. It is suppose to be an amazing zoo considering the size of the city and they have tons of new babies. But next time hopefully he will live here for good. I'm putting it out into the Universe that he will live here by Easter.
What do I mean by "putting it out into the universe?" Have you heard of The Secret? It was on Oprah, there's a DVD and a book about The Secret. Click here: Law of Attraction :: The Secret :: Official Web Site of The Secret Movie The Secret is really about the law of attraction. Or a more spiritual explanation would be that, "light cleaveth unto light." Or "birds of a feather flock together," or I had a friend that used to say "you bring about what you think about," all of these thoughts pertain to The Secret. One panelist of The Secret describes it as: You are making orders into the universe and if you say, "I'll never be happy, I'll never find the right man, my kids are so bad, etc.," well, the universe will give you your "order." It's about being positive and changing the way you think and by doing so your life will change and you will receive all that you desire: health, financial freedom, happy relationships etc. I'm giving it a try.Have you heard about the no complaining bracelet? A Pastor in Missouri challenged his congregation to not complain for 21 days. He gave them a purple wristband to wear to remind them not to complain. If they complained they had to switch the band to the other wrist and start over. You can get a free wristband to try it yourself, click here Complaint_Free_Bracelet_Order_Form. They have given out almost 200,000 wristbands so far and 6 people in the original congregation have completed the task! I think that the two ideas, the wristband and The Secret go together. It's all about changing the way you think! Good Luck!

I can't believe you are trying the "Secret" way of life. Weren't we making so much fun of Judy for rambling about it? I actually think it's a great idea, but since I have no time to read I'll have to watch the DVD. I can't wait for updates on YOUR SECRET SUCCESS Amanda!
I have never heard of the "secret" but I will check it out. I SOOO need one of the purple bracelets. I really think your house is adorable. Too bad we will never own one here in Los Angeles! Wish we could live in NM...I wonder what Nate could do there...hmmmm...
I love your house Amanda! It's beautiful! Your Condo looks really nice too! I hope you find great renters!
